The BD Nexiva integrated and closed system is designed with an intravenous catheter and double input, suitable for the implementation of IV therapies. It is made of BD Vialon (radiopaque polyurethane), a material that offers exceptional penetration qualities, tip integrity, and tolerance. Features: - To reduce the risk of mechanical phlebitis and flow recovery due to kinking, it softens inside the vein. - Compatible with Luer and Luer-Lock connections, allowing to keep the system closed to contamination during IV access. - Instaflash technology: the needle tip is designed with a hole designed to immediately visualize blood return along the catheter body. This way, it can be used even in compromised or low blood pressure veins. - It is made with preassembled components to reduce the possibility of blood contact. - Double flexible epicranial fixing fin: optimal for better fixing the catheter and controlling its position even in small or difficult to access veins. - Flexible extension tube with clamp: moves manipulations away from the puncture site and avoids mechanical complications of the catheter. - Passive and integrated safety device: protects the needle after cannulation to prevent it from being reactivated. - The stylet passes through a silicone membrane located in the back, thus cleaning the stylet of blood and fluids and eliminating possible contact with the blood. - Catheter pavilion and double input in pink color.
