Description
Splint for immobilization in extension or hyperextension of the distal interphalangeal joint of the finger after trauma, fracture, tendon injury, postoperative immobilization or arthritis affecting the interphalangeal joint. The lower part extends from the distal part of the finger past the joint of the distal phalanx and is shaped like a thimble to accommodate the fingertip. The upper part keeps the nail area free and reaches to the distal interphalangeal joint.
