Personal advice
Description
Delta-Dry Stockinette tubular bandage is recommended to protect the skin under synthetic immobilizations completely compatible with immersion. It is made of 100% waterproof nylon that is easily tearable.
Certificates: CE non-sterile Class I medical product.
Features and benefits:
- Highly breathable fabric that helps to keep body temperature cooler within the cast.
- Allows moisture to evaporate quickly through the fabric to prevent bad odors during and after removal of the immobilization.
- Its waterproofness allows the patient to carry out daily hygiene routines without any problem.
- The cast can be rinsed or cleaned with water, allowing the tubular to remain clean.
- Prevents skin maceration and desiccation as it allows water to drain quickly through the cast.
- Fabric is much lighter compared to traditional tubular bandages.
Composition:
- Nylon
- Latex-free
Usage instructions:
- Cut the necessary length of the tubular bandage and slide it over the patient's limb.
- Do not place the seam of the bandage over bony prominences in order to minimize the risk of pressure points.
- The tubular bandage should extend 3 cm from the cast. These ends can be folded outwards and secured with the
last layer of the immobilization bandage.
- In the case of application on arm/wrist, a hole for the thumb should be cut.
Measurements: 5cm x 10m.
