Simulator for intramuscular injections

This simulator consists of carefully modeled buttocks and thighs that allow for intramuscular injections, aiming at the appropriate regions for injecting, as well as the correct puncture angle. The consistency of the skin and muscles feel extremely true to life, anatomical reference points can be palpated, such as the top end of the femur (greater trochanter) and additionally, the anterior and posterior superior iliac spine as well as the sacrum can also be palpated. A part of the upper lateral quadrant of the left gluteal region has been removed to expose the underlying structures. The medium and maximum gluteal muscles, the sciatic nerve, and the vessel structures can be clearly seen. With this simulator, injections can be practiced in the medium gluteal muscle and in the lateral vast muscle, as well as ventrogluteal injections.
