Simulator for intramuscular injections

This simulator consists of carefully modeled buttocks and thighs that allow for intramuscular injections, identifying the appropriate regions for injection, as well as the correct angle of puncture. The consistency of the skin and muscles feels extremely true to life, anatomical orientation points can be palpated, such as, for example, the upper end of the femur (greater trochanter) and, in addition, the anterior and posterior superior iliac spine and the sacrum can also be palpated. A part of the upper lateral quadrant of the left gluteal region has been removed in order to expose the underlying structures. The gluteus medius and maximus muscles, the sciatic nerve, and vessel structures can be clearly seen. With this simulator, injections can be practiced in the gluteus medius muscle and in the vastus lateralis muscle, as well as ventrogluteal injections.
