The rapid test for antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 is a rapid lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay with CE marking designed for the qualitative detection of IgM and IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in human serum, plasma or whole blood.

Like laboratory tests, it detects antibodies that an exposed host has produced in response to exposure to the virus, providing a qualitative "yes" or "no" result regarding the presence of IgG and/or IgM antibodies.

The rapid test for antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 is designed to help identify people with an adaptive immune response to SARS-CoV-2, indicating previous infection. It can be performed with a small capillary blood sample (20 μL) from the fingertip or a vial of venous blood. This amount is approximately equivalent to one or two drops of blood

Test performance in 4 steps
1- The healthcare professional obtains a 20 μL sample of total capillary blood using the capillary tube.
2- The extracted total capillary blood is added to the sample well of the test cassette.
3- Add 3 drops (90 μL) of buffer vertically to the sample well of the test cassette.
4- The test result can be read after 10-15 minutes. Do not read the test result after 15 minutes, it may give a false result.

- Serum: Whole blood in a simple tube, WITHOUT anticoagulants such as sodium heparin, K2-EDTA or sodium citrate. The sample should rest for 30 minutes for the blood to clot and then it should be centrifuged to obtain a serum sample from the supernatant.
