Description
K2 EDTA plastic tube for blood extraction by vacuum system equipped with a BD Hemogard safety cap. Its design prevents splashing and dispersion of serum droplets during opening, thus improving hygiene conditions.

EDTA inhibits the coagulation process by removing calcium from the blood and reduces platelet activation, protecting the platelets during contact of the blood with the internal glass surface of the tube. It is the ideal additive for the count of leukocytes, platelets and erythrocytes, as well as being optimal for the determination of the leukocyte formula, flow cytometry and lead determination, since it preserves the morphology of the blood cells.
