This cannula is designed for monitoring exhaled carbon dioxide in non-intubated adult patients using a gas analyzer, while administering supplemental oxygen. The device allows the patient to be connected to the gas analyzer and samples of exhaled gases to be taken through a tube, facilitating continuous measurement of CO2.

It is made from a soft material that allows it to be comfortably placed over the ears. It incorporates a hydrophobic filter with a 0.20 µm membrane, designed to help protect the sampling line and analyzer from the entry of liquids and particles.
