Tube for venous blood extraction by vacuum system, dry without additive, for tests in which the serum is analyzed after the coagulation of the sample - red cap.

These tubes are recommended for tests in which the serum is analyzed, after the coagulation of the sample. They are used in tests where silicone might interfere with the analysis results.

Sample treatment:

Minimum time before centrifugation: 60 min. after extraction.

Maximum time before centrifugation: 2 h. after extraction.

(Once the tube is centrifuged, separate the serum from the clot before 2 hours

after extraction).

Centrifuge force and time: < 1300 g; 10 min.

The centrifuge requires 2 to 5 minutes to reach the minimum force (1000 g).

This time should be added to the required 10 minutes.

Sample preservation:

At 22°C: up to 8 h

At 4°C: between 8h and 48h

At -20°C: more than 48 h.
