At Dh medical materials, we have incorporated a range of Swash brand products dedicated to the patient body hygiene.

In recent decades, significant improvements have been made in individual hygiene products. The introduction of new forms of waterless washing has made daily personal hygiene routines more accessible and comfortable for both the patient and the caregiver or healthcare professional.

Prevent cross-contamination and infections

Body hygiene is important to clean secretions produced by sweating, and grooming allows the removal of dead cells that accumulate on the skin. According to scientific literature, it is estimated that 66% of the basins used for hygiene are contaminated with different pathogens causing infections in patients. To minimize the risk of cross-contamination and help prevent infections, our new products are developed to wash body parts separately. Our new line of Swash products is suitable for all skin types, even the most delicate, as they are impregnated with a hypoallergenic cleansing lotion, with a neutral pH for the skin, uniquely formulated, with moisturizing properties, such as vitamin E and glycerin. This is the case, for example, of the Gold body mitts, with or without fragrance, which serve as a substitute for traditional bathing in situations where it is not possible or convenient. The lotion helps the skin maintain its natural moisture content, while providing a deep and gentle cleanse. In addition, when applied, the lotion dries quickly, so it is no longer necessary to rinse and dry.

Products suitable for people with reduced mobility

This range of products is optimal for people with reduced mobility, in rehabilitation or with terminal illnesses. They are also ideal for people with physical or psychological limitations or who suffer from pain symptoms such as, for example, contractures or injuries. With over 20 years of experience, all our Swash products are dermatologically tested and have the CE certificate.

The new range contributes to economic and energy savings

Studies by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimate that, in 15 years, 20% of developing countries will have difficulty accessing drinking water. For this reason, there are social programs that fight for water conservation. This is the case of Made Blue, a platform with which Swash collaborates closely. You, as a client, will save at least 10 liters of water per bath using this line of products, thus contributing an extra liter of drinking water for each package used.

Also, the Swash range is part of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel pact. This prestigious environmental label guarantees sustainable production during its manufacturing, from raw material procurement to production, transport, and waste processing. In addition, the design of this product line is aimed at reducing the ecological footprint also during its final use, as each package of wipes reduces the amount of water consumed.
