Description

Cutimed Sorbact sterile dressing for the treatment of infected or contaminated wounds with moderate to abundant exudate. Through the principle of hydrophobia, it exerts its exclusive action of capturing microorganisms to eliminate bacteria and fungi from the wound. Thus, with each dressing change, the bacterial load in the area is reduced and the optimal conditions for the natural healing process are created.

The dressing does not deposit any chemically active principle in the wound bed, so there is no risk of sensitization or systemic absorption or of skin stains appearing.

It can not be used in combination with ointments or creams because they negatively affect the antimicrobial action of the dressing.

Indicated for treating:
- Chronic wounds.
- Dehiscent post-surgical wounds.
- Traumatic wounds.
- Wounds after the removal of fistulas or abscesses.
- Fungal skin infections.

Certificates: CE Class IIb sterile medical product.

Characteristics:
- Does not release chemical agents that may affect the healing process.
- Does not develop bacterial resistance.
- Does not contain resins or natural rubbers that may cause allergic reactions.
- Without cytotoxicity.
- Without the presence of endotoxins in the wound bed.
- Composition: green acetate fabric, impregnated with a fatty acid derivative.
