Triglycerides control solution for MultiCare IN devices

The Multicare In cholesterol control solution is compatible with reference 400123147/8/9, 400123965/66/67 and 400124150/51/52 of the Multicare In system.

It is formulated to check the correct functioning of the Multicare In triglyceride determination system, ensuring that the instrument and the reactive strips work together reliably. Each solution contains a known amount of triglycerides, whose expected range of values appears indicated on the label of the corresponding reactive strips container.

The measurement procedure is very similar to that of a determination with whole blood: a drop of control solution is applied onto the reactive strip instead of a drop of blood and the result is obtained after the reaction time indicated by the manufacturer. The results obtained should fall within the range of values indicated on the strips' container; if not, it is advisable to review the usage technique, the condition of the strips and of the control solution itself.

In addition to verifying the system's accuracy, these solutions are useful for learning and practicing the self-analysis procedure, helping the user to gain skill and confidence in the use of the device. Correct use of the system is confirmed when the results of repeated measurements remain within the expected range of values.
