Description
Mannequin designed to provide practical and theoretical education in prehospital management of chest trauma and maintenance of chest tubes.
The right side of the mannequin is divided into two areas that allow visualization of the anatomical relationships between the skin, muscles, ribs, and lungs.
The mannequin presents two significant clinical cases. The first case simulates a pressurized tension pneumothorax, which requires the removal of the accumulated air in the pleural cavity to allow the lung to inflate. The second case shows how to insert chest tubes to drain fluids from the pleural cavity and treat pleural effusions.
The instructor can control the color, volume, and viscosity of the fluid.
This Life/Form chest tube mannequin is ideal for teaching concepts and techniques of water seal chest drainage, such as those of the "Pleur-Evac" type.
Weight: 7.5 kg.
