It is used in the primary phase of immobilization treatment in order to decrease and provide stability to fractures, soft tissue injuries, and trauma reduction. Likewise, it is also used in post-operative treatments in the rehabilitation phase, helping to protect the injury. It provides stabilization 2-4 minutes after being placed and can bear weight after 15 minutes.
