The model shows the bone tissue present inside the bone. Its intricate architecture is determined by the influence of pressure, curvature, and torsion. With the help of a novel Micro-CT, similar to the computed tomography for humans, we have achieved, from a piece of spongy tissue, an exact three-dimensional reconstruction at 100 times its natural size.
