Test for the measurement of C-reactive Protein in whole blood, plasma, or serum.  

The analysis of C-reactive Protein has two objectives:
1) The levels of hs-CRP help to assess the risk of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease. Higher hs-CRP values have the highest risk of cardiovascular disease.
2) The levels of C-reactive Protein help identify and monitor infections and diseases that cause inflammation (lymphoma, lupus, giant cell arteritis, osteomyelitis, rheumatoid arthritis, ...).
