The Safe Digitest Plus lancet has been designed to be able to take capillary blood samples without the risk of suffering an accidental puncture or contracting a cross infection during use. Therefore, its needle is sheltered in the housing at all times, only showing when the button at the top is activated. After the puncture, when pressure is no longer applied to the switch, a spring will retract the needle automatically, thus allowing it to be safely discarded.
