Relative humidity thermometers or psychrometers measure the humidity or vapor content of the air. They feature a dry bulb thermometer or conventional thermometer and a wet bulb thermometer surrounded by a cotton sleeve soaked in water. The temperature difference between both types of thermometers determines the relative humidity of the air. This psychrometer includes a direct conversion table that allows reading the relative humidity from the temperature difference recorded in both thermometers.
