The B. Braun Introcan Safety® catheter has a unique design intended to facilitate the intravenous puncture process. Equipped with a sharp triple bevel steel needle, it can be inserted into the skin smoothly and gently, resulting almost atraumatic. It has a double confirmation system to inform the healthcare professional of its correct placement and has a heat-sensitive polyurethane body that loses rigidity when it comes into contact with the patient's body, completely conforming to their anatomy. All of this is accompanied by a safety protector that guards the needle after puncture to prevent accidental pricks and reduce the risk of cross infections.
