Description

The PanOptic™ ophthalmoscope represents an unprecedented advancement in ophthalmological diagnosis. Designed with the revolutionary PanOptic technology and the patented Axial PointSource™ optical system, it allows for clear and detailed visualization of the fundus even in small or undilated pupils. This model offers a 25º field of view, equivalent to an observation surface 25 times greater than that provided by traditional ophthalmoscopes, facilitating early diagnosis of diseases such as ocular hypertension, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and papilledema.

The optical system of the PanOptic™ works by converging illumination towards a point in the patient's cornea for easy access to the pupil, then deflects it to the retina to illuminate a larger area of the fundus. Simultaneously, the professional observes the illuminated area on the same axis, achieving the widest possible viewing angle.

Features:
- Quick and easy entry into undilated pupils.
- 5 times greater vision of the fundus compared to conventional ophthalmoscopes in an undilated eye.
- 25º field of view compared to the conventional 5º field of view.
- Diopter range: -20 to +25, adjustable via the focus wheel, allowing for smooth and precise control.
- Greater working distance that improves comfort for both the professional and the patient.
- The patented glare extinction system prevents interference from unwanted glares and reflections.
- The PanOptic™ head is compatible with both LED SureColor™ and HPX® halogen bulbs, and can be used with all 3.5 V Welch Allyn power sources, whether desktop, wall or compatible brands.
- The eyecup of the device establishes and maintains the appropriate working distance, facilitates panoramic movement over the retina, and blocks ambient light for more accurate visualization.
- Built-in apertures and filters: small, large, free of red, slit, fixation, objective, cobalt blue).
- Without handle or adapter.
- Does not allow image capture, as it is compatible with the Smart Bracket holder.
