This life-size torso with an open back consists of 28 pieces and provides an exceptionally realistic reproduction of anatomical structures in their smallest detail. Important structures are numbered and referenced in the accompanying key and many additional features are included in the CD-ROM Guide. All body systems are represented with full accessibility.

The left side exposes all the significant superficial and deeper muscles, with vessels and bones. The open back shows muscular layers, as well as the spine and associated nerve branches. A thoracic vertebra, including a section of the spinal cord, is removable for a thorough examination of its anatomical details. The head is open and the brain is fully exposed on one side.

The neck was dissected to expose muscular, nervous, vascular, and glandular structures. The most significant features are numbered and referenced in the corresponding key. The disassembled male and female urogenital systems are interchangeable.

The removable structures include the following:

- Eye with optic nerve and extraocular muscles

- Half of the brain, divided along the longitudinal fissure, showing internal structures and blood vessels

- Trachea

- Descending thoracic aorta and esophagus

- Right and left lungs (2 pieces each), showing the bronchial and vascular tree

- Half of a kidney sectioned along the frontal plane, showing the internal structure and vessels

- Heart in 2 parts with a clear description of the atria, ventricles, valves, and the section of the heart wall

- Stomach dissected into 2 parts

- Small and large intestines with removable cover plus portion of the cecum
