The product must be thoroughly cleaned with hot water for the first time and after each use, disinfected, possibly rinsed with distilled water, and dried with extreme care, it also needs to be sterilized before subsequent use.

The product can be cleaned in ultrasonic tanks provided for this purpose and disinfected in instrument washing machines up to a temperature of 95°C (203°F). After cleaning, and before sterilization, it is recommended to treat the instruments with physiologically safe oil, especially with regard to the tips, connectors, terminals, and all moving parts. Pay close attention to ensure that the product does not come into contact with acids or other aggressive disinfectants that could corrode it.

The recommended sterilization method is steam in an autoclave, the cycle temperature must not exceed 135°C (275°F) for a maximum of 15 minutes, to avoid damaging the product.

For hot air sterilization, a temperature between 180° and 200°C is recommended.

The products can also be disinfected in instrument washing machines up to a temperature of 121°C.

Instruments that show signs of corrosion should be immediately discarded.
