Medibas+ Low Speed Centrifuge

The low-speed Medibas+ centrifuge is designed to provide maximum efficiency and safety in laboratory applications that do not require cooling. With a capacity of up to 400 ml, it combines power, ease of use, and state-of-the-art digital control through a microprocessor, LCD screen, and single-lever selector. Its versatile design allows the use of swinging or angular rotors, adapting to the most commonly used tubes in hospital and research settings.

This equipment is recommended for genetic studies (nucleic acids), proteins, PCR products, and other applications in clinical biochemistry, hematology, immunology, molecular biology, and industrial research. It is supplied with an autoclavable swinging rotor, compatible with a wide variety of tube holders (4x100 mL, 4x50 mL, 8x50 mL, 16x10/15 mL and 24x5 mL). Optionally (and at an additional cost), it can incorporate angular rotors (12x15 mL, 8x50 mL) and a special rotor for microplates, thus expanding its usage possibilities.

Its robust steel construction with a stainless steel inner bucket and anti-corrosion Teflon coating ensures durability. It incorporates advanced safety mechanisms, such as an electrically controlled double lock, a rubber seal for airtight closure, and an electromechanical lock that prevents the lid from opening during centrifugation, along with a manual opening option in case of a power outage. Additionally, an automatic system stops the equipment if the maximum programmed speed is exceeded.

Among its technical features, the Flash centrifugation, maintenance-free induction motor, and a sinusoidal wave vector control FOC system stand out, which ensures precision in speed, time, and relative centrifugal force (RCF). Programming can be done in rpm or RCF, ensuring flexibility and accuracy.

Forced ventilation cooling, combined with its advanced heat exchange technology, effectively reduces the rotor temperature and protects the integrity of the samples.
