In addition, it incorporates a mat to relieve pressure and has a non-porous urethane outer layer impregnated with an antimicrobial agent that prevents the growth of microorganisms, and is resistant to water and solvents.
All seams are fully sealed for easy cleaning and disinfection and it is radiolucent.
For best results and to cover the maximum possible body surface, the mattress can be combined with a thermal blanket to warm the patient above and below simultaneously.
