Its design allows the endotracheal tube to be held in the correct position and prevents accidental extubations without the patient suffering from chafing or bedsores during its use. Moreover, since it does not contain any adhesive on the inner face, it can be used on patients with lesions or facial hair, ensuring their comfort at all times.
