Description
Sterilization is the process of destroying and eliminating all forms of microbial life, including bacteria and their subforms.
The laboratory autoclave consists of a container through which high-pressure steam flows for the purpose of sterilization.
For sterilization to be effective, the steam must be saturated and therefore all air must be purged from inside the container before starting the process.
