Description
Chester Chest™ with a new improved arm, which can also be purchased separately to equip your Chester Chest™. The Chester Chest™ is a unique teaching material that will allow you to perfectly handle the following prolonged vascular accesses:
• Implanted port
• Central venous catheter (CVC)
• Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC)
The new improved arm is equipped with a 5FR double lumen PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) that comes out of the basilic vein, considered the ideal access. In the PICC access area, there is a groove to place the peripheral port (the port is represented, but is not included with the supplied material). Another feature of the new arm is a 20G i.v. catheter located in the forearm. The new improved arm offers a higher level of rotation and extension than the previous model and can be used to practice cleaning, placing dressings and immobilizations, and infusion methods.
The right side of the chest is equipped with a surgically placed central venous catheter (CVC). Catheters can also be placed in the external jugular vein and the subclavian vein through the existing openings.
On the left side of the chest is the implanted port. The various included tissue flaps allow for simulating complicated access scenarios, such as a deep, tilted, displaced, or migrated port.
The Chester Chest™ can be used in a vertical position or lying on its back.
It comes with a reserve blood bag, talcum powder, and usage instructions.
