The glutathione in high concentrations, vitamin C and citric acid act as skin antioxidants. Glutathione is a detoxifier and inhibitor of melanin synthesis, in addition to synergizing with kojic acid. The glycolic acid is used for its exfoliating effect, as it increases the penetration of other topical agents, and settles moisturizing agents within the exfoliated skin surface. In this way, it reduces the formation of lines, age spots and fine wrinkles, in addition to improving skin damaged by the sun.
