Description
Needle for transabdominal sampling of amniotic fluid for prenatal diagnosis of fetal genetic disorders. Also used for cytogenetic and biochemical studies.
The precise sharpening of the needle allows for easy and non-traumatic insertion.
Its tip is detectable by ultrasound, which allows for insertion guided by ultrasound, and the cone is color-coded for easy identification of the needle size. The needle is equipped with an adjustable cap that allows for the determination of insertion depth, and with a female luer connector to collect the amniotic fluid through a syringe.
