Description
The membrane filter is used in the field of microbiology and laboratory diagnostics to isolate microorganisms contained in a liquid in order to observe them. Its design includes a layer of cellulose acetate and nitrate that, by containing microscopic pores, is able to allow fluids to pass through and simultaneously retain the microorganisms present in them.
