PRP is the fraction of blood plasma with a platelet concentration up to 5 times higher. To extract PRP, it is necessary to centrifuge the whole blood to separate the different types of blood cells according to their molecular weights. If the two sterile tubes are used, it is possible to obtain up to 4ml of total PRP.

Applications: PRP can be used to stimulate and accelerate the healing of soft and hard tissues (including bones) in various areas. Its main applications are in aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatology, and orthopedics.
